Market Plane Platform Team Glossary

This glossary page is meant to explain advanced terms used by the Platform Team. If you are a Market Plane user or you want to understand the general concepts of the Witboost Market Plane, we recommend checking out the Market Plane User Glossary instead.

note

If you're part of the Platform Team, we still encourage going first through the User Glossary as there are concepts a Platform Team member must be familiar as well.

Access Control Flow

The Access Control Flow represents the series of actions that are performed as part of a access request grant or revoke for a consumable. The simplest and default flow sends a notification to the product owner which can accept or reject the access request. In case of being accepted it calls the configured Tech Adapter for said type of consumable which will integrate with the Data plane to grant access to the appropriate resources.

More complex flows are possible through a delegation strategy that use Remote Requests hooks to handle the access control request.

Access Request / Revoke Request Template

Access Request Templates and Revoke Request Templates are the templates that can be used to configure the form the Market Plane use needs to fill out when requesting access to a consumable. The information filled out in these forms is then sent as part of the request to the product owner or to the remote request hook if configured.
