These are the release notes for the v2.4.0 release of Witboost.

Features​

Data Product Prototype​

System Prototypes are a preliminary version of a system, serving as a proof of concept or a model for further development.

System Prototypes provide a standardized way to:

  • Define the structure of your data systems
  • Configure default settings and parameters
  • Establish best practices for system development

Extension Manager Tech Adapter​

Tech adapters can be registered from the Administration Panel.

Provisioning registry retrieval endpoint​

New endpoint on Coordinator to return a list of provisioning operations matching some provided filters

Configurable marketplace display name field​

Possibility from the administration panel to change the descriptor field used on the marketplace side as the display name for systems and components. If necessary, also based on the specific type.

Download events registered by the Platform with sensitive data anonymized​

From the Events Download page in the Platform Settings, the Platform Team can download events registered in a chosen date range.

UI Improvements on marketplace and custom views​

UI Improvements on tables, added sort funcionality in custom view tables and marketplace

Descriptor Cache in "Edit&Test" Page​

Improved the "Edit & Test" tab loading. Also, it is now possible to start testing or create a draft release without waiting for the descriptor description.

Configurable heatmaps in visual discovery​

In addition to the built-in layers, organizations can now configure custom heatmaps to reflect business-specific dimensions of the data catalog.

Issues fixed and minor improvements​

  • Fixed an issue that was preventing some remote metric results to not be displayed in the Marketplace
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing tests in Edit and Test panel to be launched while a component is selected
  • Fixes a bug in Edit Template Wizard that prevented Preview and Save buttons to work correctly
  • Resolved and re-enabled sorting on resource name column in search results table (for policies and metrics tables)
  • Fixed a bug where RBAC Startup Action wouldn't work for a Witboost instance that wouldn't define an environment called development and qa.
  • Fixed ui when user or group doesn't exist
  • Tag now not fill all the space in popover in WbTagsArray
  • Footer of template card fill all the remain space
  • Click on the ExceedLink now work better in TableContent
  • Fixed an issue that prevented an entity to be indexed and refreshed when the catalog-info contains properties that differ only by case. Only the first property is indexed and all the others (that differ only by case) are discarded
  • Fixed an issue affecting the parsing of nested folders on Azure DevOps
  • Removed entirely the unsecured PDF library
  • Fixes a bug which caused a table component inside a list in a Witboost template to overflow its available space
  • Fixed the improper usage of Unicode characters in the glossary definition
  • Fixes style regressions in the provisioning page
  • Fixed a problem that caused the groups to fetch too long, resulting in the marketplace page taking a long time to load.
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing systems with no components from being deployed
